Nuevo disco de Stormy Mondays

Tocamos Rock, Folk Rock, “Americana”, Soul.

We play Rock, Folk Rock, "Americana", Soul. Acoustic and electric, classic and modern. That is not the important thing. The important thing is that we do not "fast food". Our music is cooked on a low heat. It's not for everyone, but it could be just the one you are looking for. We have 15 albums. We sing in English, Spanish and Asturian. We work in a completely independent way, outside the record business. Oh, and all these anecdotes are true: Our song "Sunrise Number 1" was chosen by NASA to sound in space. We've played with Springsteen and Slash, and also in Woodstock '99 (the only Spaniards). We are pioneers of online music distribution (since 1996) and Creative Commons licenses. nuevo disco de Roger Waters "Is This The Life We Really Want?"

Is This The Life We Really Want?

Is This The Life We Really Want? (Is this the life you really want?), Roger Waters challengingly, from the title of what is only his fifth studio album as a soloist. No less than 25 years since the appearance of his previous work, Amused To Death (1992) - which he reissued in 2015 in a remastered edition - but former Pink Floyd remains intact his vision, and his ability to chart Diagnosis as accurate as it is unprosy on the state of the world, with a conceptual work that tends direct links to The Wall (1979) and to the aforementioned Amused ... In the disc, Roger returns to the load on the obsessions that have been present to him The war, the influence of the media, alienation, the dirty handling of politicians and rulers, the inaction of the citizens, and a general state of things that had already masterfully summarized in the classic of Pink Floyd, "Comfortably numb." In the musical part, the context is one hundred percent Waters, with effects, ambient sounds, dialogues and noises of mechanical machines joining the songs. The influence of producer Nigel Godrich (worked with Radiohead, Air, Beck and McCartney, among others), is not especially notable in music or arrangements, which sound like a natural continuation of previous works. It seems that his main role as a producer has been to convince the artist to synthesize his ideas in the format of an album of songs not too widespread, with a band that merely provides a sumptuous setting to the lyrics of the singer (there are practically no solos , And the intro is minimal or non-existent).

A Kind of Magic cumple 31 años

A Kind of Magic is the twelfth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 2 June 1986 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Capitol Records in the United States. It was their first studio album to be recorded digitally, and is based on the soundtrack to the film Highlander, the first in a series directed by Russell Mulcahy. A Kind of Magic was Queen's first album to be released since they had been acclaimed for their performance at the 1985 Live Aid concert. It was an immediate hit in the UK, going straight to number one and selling 100,000 copies in its first week. It remained in the UK charts for 63 weeks, selling about six million copies worldwide (600,000 in the UK alone). The album spawned four hit singles: the album's title track "A Kind of Magic", "One Vision", "Friends Will Be Friends", and "Who Wants to Live Forever", which features an orchestra conducted by Michael Kamen, while the last track, "Princes of the Universe", is the theme song to Highlander. Although Queen would release another two albums with Freddie Mercury (excluding posthumous releases), A Kind of Magic would turn out to be the band's last album promoted with a concert tour, because of Mercury's diagnosis with HIV the following year, which subsequently caused his death in 1991. For the first time in their career, the band allowed themselves to be filmed while they were in the recording studio. The video for "One Vision" shows them in various stages of writing and recording the song.

Jethro Tull Songs from the Wood

Songs from the Wood is the tenth studio album by British progressive rock band Jethro Tull, released February 1977. The album signalled a new direction for the band, who turned to celebrating British pagan folklore and the countryside life in a wide-ranging folk rock style which combined traditional instruments and melodies with hard rock drums and electric guitars. The album is considered to be the first of a trio of folk rock albums: Songs from the Wood, Heavy Horses (1978) and Stormwatch (1979). On the album cover appears an extended title line: "Jethro Tull – with kitchen prose, gutter rhymes and divers – Songs from the Wood". The title track of the album contain two of these phrases in its lyrics. The UK music-paper adverts read: "Jethro Tull present 'Songs From The Wood'. A new album of Old Magic. Songs From The Wood. It's inspired by the thought that perhaps nature isn't as gentle as we'd like to believe. And it takes as its theme the natural and supernatural inhabitants of the woodlands of old England. Warm and friendly, harsh and bitter by turns, it includes 'Ring Out Solstice Bells' as well as Tull's new single 'The Whistler' and seven other songs. Find a quiet spot and listen to it soon."
