2017 marks the twentieth anniversary of Blackmore's Night - the internationally heralded Renaissance rock band helmed by six-string extraordinaire Ritchie Blackmore and his wife, vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Candice Night. To celebrate, the band released "To The Moon And Back: 20 Years And Beyond…", a two-disc collection of favorites and new material, on August 18.

"To The Moon And Back" boasts three brand new songs: "Ghost Of John", which proudly introduces the vocals of Autumn Blackmore (the 6-year daughter of Blackmore and Night) at the close of the song, Blackmore's "Land Of Hope and Glory" (a reworking of British patriotic anthem "Pomp And Circumstance March No. 1", written in 1902), and a cover of favored RAINBOW tune "I Surrender", with Night providing the vocals.

Additionally, the set includes re-recorded versions of catalog favorites "Moonlight Shadow", "Somewhere Over The Sea", "Coming Home", and "Writing On The Wall". This new material is buoyed with BLACKMORE'S NIGHT classics, such as "Shadow Of The Moon", "Ghost Of A Rose", and "Under A Violet Moon", and a live version of "Home Again", fully rounding out this best-of compilation. The included booklet displays a collage of memorabilia, showcasing live band photos, backstage passes, and tour flyers. The Laughing Apple is the fifteenth studio album by Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens). The album was released on 15 September 2017 by Cat-O-Log Records. It is Yusuf's fourth mainstream release since his return to music and his first one since 2014's acclaimed Tell 'Em I'm Gone. The album was produced by Paul Samwell-Smith and Yusuf. Its title is a reference to one of Cat Stevens' earlier hits, "The Laughing Apple" that was included in his 1967 album New Masters. Yusuf marks the 50th anniversary of his first two albums, both released in 1967, by reinterpreting some of his songs from the era, including four from New Masters and others never released at the time. It helps that he’s reunited with his old 1970s foils Alun Davies (guitar) and Paul Samwell-Smith (production), resulting in cleaner, less cluttered arrangements. Northern Wind, in particular, benefits, Yusuf’s gravelly, age-weathered voice now giving it a greater gravitas. The new songs are no less impressive, with the philosophical Don’t Blame Them unexpectedly changing gear towards its end. Throughout, there’s a disarming warmth and thoughtfulness, making for a pleasantly surprising late-career highlight.

Malcolm Young (Glasgow, Escocia; 6 de enero de 1953-18 de noviembre de 2017) fue un guitarrista, compositor y productor discográfico de rock y blues, conocido por ser fundador, guitarrista rítmico, corista y miembro letrista de la popular banda australiana AC/DC. Malcolm Mitchell Young (6 January 1953 – 18 November 2017) was a Scottish-Australian musician and songwriter, best known as a co-founder, rhythm guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter for the hard rock band AC/DC. Except for a brief absence in 1988, he was with the band from its November 1973 beginning until retiring in 2014 for health reasons. Young and the other members of AC/DC were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. Though his younger brother Angus is the more visible of the brothers, Malcolm was described as the driving force and the leader of the band. In 2014, he stated that despite his retirement from the band, AC/DC was determined to continue making music with his blessing. As the rhythm guitarist, he was responsible for the broad sweep of the band's sound, developing many of their guitar riffs and co-writing the band's material with Angus. He was married to Linda Young and had two children, Cara and Ross. Young took a leave of absence from AC/DC in April 2014, to receive treatment for dementia. Joan Masdéu i Pallarols (Reus, 30 de setembre de 1974) és un compositor, cantant, guitarrista i actor català. Masdéu inicià la seva carrera musical amb Terrat 26 i posteriorment va pertànyer al grup Whiskyn's durant 17 anys (1992-2009). Actualment Masdéu està fent carrera en solitari.

Joan Masdéu i Pallarols (Reus, September 30, 1974) is a Catalan composer, singer, guitarist and actor. Masdeu started his musical career with Terrat 26 and later belonged to the Whiskyn's group for 17 years (1992-2009). Masdeu is currently solo career.

Joan Miquel Oliver i Ripoll (Sóller, Mallorca, 1974) és un compositor, escriptor, cantant i guitarrista en llengua catalana. Conegut al començament com a guitarrista i compositor del grup Antònia Font, posteriorment i en paral·lel ha desenvolupat una carrera musical en solitari. L'any 2008 publicà el seu primer llibre de narrativa, El misteri de l'amor, no exempt de polèmica per no respectar les normes de puntuació en la seva redacció. A la primera edició l'editorial Empúries inclogué una nota aclaratòria desentenent-se de les normes seguides per l'autor, però en posteriors edicions aquesta nota desaparegué.
