Muere Tina Turner a los 83 años

 

Anna Mae Bullock (Brownsville, Tennessee, 26 de noviembre de 1939-Küsnacht, Suiza, 24 de mayo de 2023), conocida como Tina Turner, fue una cantante suiza de origen estadounidense. Desarrolló su carrera durante más de cincuenta años, además de convertirse en una de las principales y mayores compositoras de rock. Turner, considerada la «Reina del Rock», se retiró de los escenarios y la música en 2013 a la edad de setenta y tres años, después de una carrera musical de cincuenta y cuatro años. Comenzó su carrera musical a mediados de la década de 1950 como cantante de performance con su esposo, Ike Turner, compositor y líder de la banda Kings of Rhythm. Tina comenzó a grabar en 1958 con el nombre de Little Ann. Su debut como Tina Turner fue en el sencillo "A Fool in Love" en 1960 como uno de los dos miembros de la banda musical Ike & Tina Turner. El éxito siguió con una serie de éxitos notables entre la pareja como «River Deep – Mountain High», «Proud Mary» y «Nutbush City Limits», una canción que ella escribió. En su autobiografía llamada «I, Tina», reveló que fue expulsada por la violencia doméstica durante su matrimonio con Ike Turner. Como solista, su álbum Private Dancer de 1984, producido por Mark Knopfler, la lanzó de nuevo al estrellato. Su propia vida fue llevada al cine en What's Love Got to Do with It de 1993, siendo personificada por Angela Bassett. En 1999 publicó su último álbum de estudio Twenty Four Seven y en 2004 publicó el exitoso álbum recopilatorio All the Best. Tina Turner es conocida por sus enérgicas actuaciones en vivo, sus estrafalarios atuendos, su poderosa voz, su longeva trayectoria3​ y por haber enseñado a bailar al mismísimo Mick Jagger. Ha vendido más de doscientos millones de álbumes en todo el mundo. En 2008 abandonó su semirretiro para recorrer el mundo con su gira Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour, la cual se llevó a cabo también en 2009. La gira se convirtió en una de las más rentables de la historia del espectáculo. En 2013 adquirió la nacionalidad suiza, a la vez que renunció a su nacionalidad estadounidense. Además confirmó ese año que se retiraba para siempre de la música. A muerto a la edade de 83 años despues de una larga enfermedad.

She developed her career for more than fifty years, in addition to becoming one of the main and greatest songwriters in rock. Considered the "Queen of Rock," Turner retired from stage and music in 2013 at the age of seventy-three, after a fifty-four-year music career. She began her musical career in the mid-1950s as a performance singer with her husband, Ike Turner, a songwriter and leader of the band Kings of Rhythm. Tina began recording in 1958 under the name Little Ann. Her debut as Tina Turner was on the single "A Fool in Love" in 1960 as one of two members of the band Ike & Tina Turner. Success followed with a series of notable hits between the pair including "River Deep – Mountain High," "Proud Mary," and "Nutbush City Limits," a song she wrote. In her autobiography called "I, Tina", she revealed that she was evicted for domestic violence during her marriage to Ike Turner. As a solo artist, her 1984 album Private Dancer, produced by Mark Knopfler, launched her back to stardom. Songs of the period such as "What's Love Got to Do with It", "Let's Stay Together", "We Don't Need Another Hero" and "The Best" achieved international success and solidified his solo career. She expanded her career into film in 1975 by acting in "Tommy" (by Ken Russell), in 1985 with the film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and again in 1995 with a minor role in Last Action Hero. Her own life was made into a film in 1993's What's Love Got to Do with It, with her played by Angela Bassett. In 1999 she released her last studio album Twenty Four Seven and in 2004 she released the hit compilation album All the Best. Tina Turner is known for her energetic live performances, her outlandish outfits, her powerful voice, her 3 of her long career, and for having taught Mick Jagger himself how to dance. She has sold more than two hundred million albums worldwide. In 2008 she left her semi-retirement to tour the world with her Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour, which also took place in 2009. The tour became one of the most profitable in show history. In 2013 she acquired Swiss nationality, at the same time that she renounced her US nationality. She also confirmed that year that she was retiring forever from music. She has died at the age of 83 after a long illness.
