George Roger Waters (Surrey, Angleterre, 6 septembre 1943) est un musicien et compositeur britannique, co-fondateur du groupe Pink Floyd, considéré comme l'un des plus influents de l'histoire de la musique moderne. Après le départ de Syd Barrett, il devient le compositeur conceptuel du groupe. En plus d'être le bassiste, il était l'un des chanteurs et a expérimenté les synthétiseurs, les boucles, la guitare électrique et acoustique. Avec lui, Pink Floyd a connu un succès mondial dans les années 1970 grâce à leurs albums concepts The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals et The Wall. Il a quitté le groupe en 1985 en raison de différences créatives et juridiques avec les autres membres. Résolu le différend en 1987, il lui a fallu près de 18 ans pour jouer à nouveau avec le groupe.
